Healing. Hydrating. Multi-functional. The Balm soothes, hydrates, calms and helps your skin combat everyday
environmental stressors. Use it on your face, lips or anywhere else on your
body - typically suited for dry, sensitive skin.

Size: 40ml

Benefits & How to Use

The Balm contains a combination of Marula, Prickly Pear seed and Baobab

oils which melt into your skin, calming redness and irritation. Creamy Mango
Butter extract found within the formula will soothe and nourish. Helichrysum
contains healing properties which have anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and
antibacterial effects. Last but not least, The Balm contains Spirulina, which is
rich in antioxidants.

Why is it blue?

Blue Spirulina is responsible for the product’s calming, blue hue. It contains 8
essential amino acids, Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin B and Iron. Blue
Spirulina is high in protein, which is necessary for cell repair and growth. It is
also a rich source of antioxidants, making it highly effective when fighting
free radicals. When rubbed into skin, the Spirulina is fully absorbed and does
not leave a blue tint.

The inspiration

”A lot of people wanted something richer than the Everyday Cream for dry,
dehydrated skin,” says founder, Hannah Rubin. “I wanted to create
something healing with concentrated botanicals and herbs that could lock in
moisture and give an instant glow. This solid oil blend is rich and absorbs
easily without being too oily.”

How to use it:

Take a pea sized amount of The Balm, rub it between your palms to warm
the product and apply it onto cleansed skin.

What is Clean Beauty?

With words such as green, natural and organic we are often misled into thinking a product is ‘clean’ without checking the label. Clean beauty means that a product is safe, non-toxic, and has transparent labeling of ingredients. Just because a product is green/natural/organic it doesn’t mean it is clean. Clean Beauty, at its core, is a product that is safe to use with no harmful ingredients (to reiterate: not chemicals, but ingredients!).

Small Batch production

Small batch production has taken off in the last 2-3 years with local businesses taking the lead. From decor and beauty to food brands, we are seeing a huge shift in expectation from consumers as well as brands leading the process. Conscious consumers are moving away from mass-produced, large-scale beauty products to sustainable and eco-friendly makeup brands that operate along ethical lines. A renewed focus on zero-waste makeup is also part of this planet- and people-conscious movement.
